|
New York, NY (WFN) -- A lot of TV actors don't want to "jump the shark" but Henry Winkler doesn't mind -- and he's the guy who inspired the term. "Jump the shark" is a couch potato slang term for the exact moment when a television show goes from good to bad. It's a direct reference to the "Happy Days" episode when Winkler's character, Fonzie, water skis over a shark -- but the actor doesn't mind. Why? Because, in his words, "Every time the term is mentioned, there's usually a photograph of me on water skis when I had great legs." These days, Winkler is showing off his acting chops, not his legs, by appearing on three episodes of "Third Watch," starting April 23.
