Los Angeles, CA (WFN) -- Most folks couldn't jump from a third story balcony without injuring themselves. But there are stuntmen in Hong Kong who make their living taking dives from that height -- without any mats to break their fall. The lives of these daredevils are profiled in a new movie, "Red Trousers: The Life of the Hong Kong Stuntmen," which was directed by Robin Shou, who was a stuntman in Hong Kong before he broke into Hollywood with roles in "Mortal Kombat" and "Beverly Hills Ninja." Shou says the work ethic among these Hong Kong stunt masters -- who include Jackie Chan and Sammo Hung -- is that if you are assigned a stunt, you must complete it, no matter what. That sense of honor and dedication helps a stuntman make a reputation for himself, and land more jobs based on the skills he acquires. However, Shou says expertise comes at the cost of safety, adding, "It's not a good thing to be good because it's dangerous."
