New York, NY (WFN) -- An easter egg hunt being held at the Iroquois Hotel in New York could leave the place looking like a scene from the 1963 treasure hunt movie "It's A Mad Mad Mad Mad World."

Management will be hiding a pricey porcelain egg from France somewhere in the 114-room hotel, and guests are invited to search high and low to find it.

A spokesman says although the small egg may be stowed in one of the hotel's guest rooms, seekers won't be allowed to barge on in fellow guests. Only the public areas of the hotel are open to search.

That includes a mahogany library, lobby and the hotel's Triomphe Restaurant.

If no one finds the "golden egg," which is valued around $1500, it will be placed in storage for another egg hunt next year.
