Davis, CA (WFN) -- Did you know Eleanor Roosevelt loved to skid across a polished marble floor to celebrate a victory? It's true, according to her niece Eleanor Roosevelt II, who has written a book of anecdotes of her aunt titled "With Love, Aunt Eleanor: Stories from My Life with the First Lady of the World" (Scrap Book Press). She says after her aunt had thrown an assembly at the Palais des Nations in Geneva while drafting the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, she celebrated by skidding down a hallway, twice. Besides having the same name, the similarities between Eleanor II and her namesake end there. "I would love to be like her," she says, "but I'm not that tall. I admired her and loved her a lot." Unlike Eleanor I, Eleanor II says she was never interested in politics, but she is interested in community affairs. Her aunt also encouraged her to give public lectures. Now at 84, Eleanor II says she still lectures mostly about her aunt, and will soon begin a book tour.
