Atlanta, GA (WFN) -- Not much has been heard from "American Idol" runner-up Trenyce since last season but she's not sitting around being idle.

Trenyce is currently touring with another one-named entertainer, Jackee, in the musical, "Not A Day Goes By," playing a Broadway diva "who learns to be selfish from her mother."

Still, Trenyce notes that she's not a diva and says she decided to pick the character because "she says some things I'd never say -- she's completely different than me."

That's the way she likes it. Trenyce says acting was her first love before "American Idol" and feels the right clothes and hairstyle help determine how to interpret a song.

But Trenyce isn't turning down pop music success for the stage. She is moving to Los Angeles next week to start working on her debut album.
