Los Angeles, CA (WFN) -- Todd Bridges has had some different strokes of luck in his career but he's on a high with his latest role: singer Bobby Brown.

Bridges is portraying Brown in "High On You," a sketch spoofing Brown and wife Whitney Houston that is airing on the late night talk show "Jimmy Kimmel Live."

He's extremely high on the role because, as he points out, "For once, it's not me."

You might think that Houston would have a problem with the way Bridges burns Brown but folks close to the couple have praised the former "Diff'rent Strokes" star.

He thinks it's "because they know I've walked in his footsteps."

Show host Kimmel is reportedly so keen on the spoof that he's considering spinning off the series into prime time -- an idea that has Bridges' blessing.

He believes Whitney and Bobby are as great a comedy couple as Ralph & Alice Kramden, Ricky & Lucy Ricardo; or Homer & Marge Simpson.
