Chaos Theory Cat Toy Drives Pussies Crazy

New York, NY (WFN) -- Can you believe the lengths some people will go to entertain their pets? A Japanese toy company is using the latest research in chaos theory to drive pussycats wild.

Takara Corp. -- which also makes a dog translation device called the Bow-Lingual -- is launching the new "Cat Attack" remote-controlled toy in toy stores this month.

It consists of a remote-controlled car that has a fuzzy ball on a flexible rod sprouting out of the top. When it's turned on, the rod twitches and turns at random, simulating the movements of a cat's prey.

According to the company, the technology "utilizes algorithms modeled upon the neural network of a real mouse."

The $25 gizmo is geared to both sedentary cats who need to lose weight and active kitties who need some distraction.
