	2004-04-06 - Weird News Wireless Flash News Everything's Coming Up Troll Dolls

Burbank, CA (WFN) -- Those wild-haired, imp-faced troll dolls are trolling for another pop culture comeback by next year. A TV and video merchandising licensing deal based on troll figurines is expected to launch by next year. DIC Entertainment hopes to obtain the deal and if successful will roll out a publishing license and an internet presence for the trolls. Trolls have been around for almost 50 years, but a spokeswoman for DIC says the 21st century trolls won't look exactly like the classics, although she can't say exactly what they'll look like. DIC will be targeting "tween" girls aged eight to 12 all over the world, except in Scandinavia, which has been retained by the Troll company.
