New Paltz, NY (WFN) -- Some couch potatoes are truly devoted -- like the woman in New Paltz, New York, who gave birth to fraternal twins and named them "Regis" and "Kelly" after her favorite talk show hosts. The woman's devotion goes deeper: She has a pet dog named "Gelman," named after the talk show's producer. INVERNESS, Ill. -- Too many losing seasons can really get your goat when you're a Chicago Cubs fan. Many fans attribute the team's lack of success to a curse placed on them during the 1945 World Series by a fan whose pet goat was refused entry into Wrigley Field. Now, an Illinois entrepreneur is hoping to reverse the curse by selling plush versions of the goat to ever-hopeful Cubs fans. PIAUI, Brazil -- Call it Viagra-gate: A member of the Brazilian parliament has lost his position because he allegedly gave voters Viagra in exchange for their votes. Antonio Jose Morae Souza was booted out and fined around $7500 for the misconduct, which was traced back to his 2002 reelection campaign. SAN FRANCISCO -- Cops and donuts go together like bread and butter, so why not name a donut shop after the men in blue? That's exactly what two dot com drop-outs in the San Francisco Bay Area are doing in September, reports the "San Francisco Chronicle." John Brand and Tony Ellis will open Cop Donuts in Fremont, California, offering burgers, fries and -- of course -- donuts.
