Cleveland, OH (WFN) -- John Kerry may want to consider asking former opponent John Edwards to become his running mate. According to a new presidential poll by Case Western Reserve University, 20 percent of Americans are more likely to vote for Kerry if Edwards is his running mate. In addition, 12 percent would like to see Hillary Rodham Clinton as Kerry's vice president nominee and 11 percent think Republican John McCain would be the best guy for the ticket. Meanwhile, 27 percent of voters say that Dick Cheney is the best man to back up George W. Bush while 23 percent want Colin Powell and 12 percent prefer Rudolph Giuliani as the running mate. Although more people prefer Cheney as V.P., only 19 percent say he's qualified to be president, while 32 percent feel that way about Powell.
