New York, NY (WFN) -- Britney Spear's new hairdo has a little help from hair extensions according to a New York salon owner.

Hair pro "Angelo" does additions and says he can tell when people have them. The most obvious thing with Spears was that she went from short hair to long hair overnight.

He thinks Spears' decision to go brunette with hair additions is a good one because her old look was "getting tired and redundant."

Angelo says the additions he uses are made of human hair and can be adhered on, clamped or weaved into the existing hair of anyone who wants to look like Spears.

However, her look doesn't come cheap. Angelo says if someone walks into his salon and wants to look like the pop diva it could cost anywhere from $1,000 to $3,000 for cut, color, additions and styling.
