Vail, CO (WFN) -- Actor Thomas Ian Nicholas is best known for "American Pie" but he may soon be better known as an American filmmaker. Nicholas just finished directing his first film, "LADJ," a comedy about disc jockeys who go from top club jocks in Los Angeles to bar mitzvahs in Encino. It's a subject close to Nicholas' heart. He says his brother and co-star Tim Scarne is a professional DJ who "...started out in the underground and ended up doing weddings." The indie comedy's soundtrack features all sorts of cutting edge house music but Nicholas says he's "old school when it comes to comedy," and feels today's laughers "aren't believable. They're too broad." It's a busy month for Nicholas. "LADJ" makes its world debut tomorrow night (Apr. 2) at the Vail Film Festival in Vail, Colorado, and he plays Frank Sinatra, Jr., in "Stealing Sinatra," which airs April 22 on Showtime.
