Los Angeles, CA (WFN) -- Billy Bob Thornton will always remember the Alamo now that he's tattooed a memorial to the long-ago battle for Texas' independence on his bod. Thornton plays frontiersman Davy Crockett in the upcoming movie, "The Alamo," and, along with a band of his fellow co-stars, got a tattoo of a Texas flag bearing the battle cry, "Remember the Alamo." Edwin Hodge, who plays the African-American slave, Joe, in the movie, says he was supposed to join in on the group tattoo, but passed because he only recently had his first tattoo and wasn't ready for another. Maybe he made the smarter move: According to Hodge, the tattoo artist who inked one of the other actors misspelled "Remember" as "Remembler." "The Alamo" opens in U.S. theaters April 9.
