New York, NY (WFN) -- "Princess Diaries" star Anne Hathaway literally fell into an acting career. Hathaway tells gossip reporter Baird Jones that when she auditioned for her star-making role, she was supposed to have a sit-down interview with director Garry Marshall. Unfortunately, when she sat down, she totally missed her chair. Though she describes it "...a real bobble," she managed to recover gracefully and get the job. Although some might think Marshall have hired Hathaway because her klutzy behavior matched the character, she disagrees, saying he told she got the job because "...I managed to recover gracefully just like a real princess." Hathaway's next movie, the fairy tale fantasy, "Ella Enchanted," opens April 9.
