San Diego, CA (WFN) -- Fo Shizznit! Snoop Dogg has been named America's Coach of the Year for Pop Warner Football.

Snoop was honored Saturday (Mar. 20) at a banquet event in Los Angeles for his devotion to coaching the Snoop Dogg All Stars, a Junior All-American football team of seven-to 10-year-old boys.

The Ricky Williams Foundation selected him because of his dedication to kiddie football and the time he spent as chaperone during a bus ride to a Pop Warner game in Houston, Texas, where his team beat football star Ricky Williams' Texas Pride 24 to 16.

According to organizers, Snoop was a former quarterback in Pop Warner football and his coaching skills are evident with the All Stars.
