Hollywood, CA (WFN) -- "Clerks" writer/director Kevin Smith made his mark in the movie biz by writing some of the raunchiest dialogue ever heard on screen -- and now that he's hit the big time, he isn't forgetting his roots. In an interview conducted by his pal Ben Affleck in the upcoming "Premiere" magazine, the sex-obsessed scribe proudly admits, "I've built an empire on bad language." Smith also says he's pretty candid as a parent and his young daughter has heard him utter all sorts of foul words. He jokes that he thought it was important to teach her all the major curses early on since, quote, "It pays for school for her." Still, he says you shouldn't expect any really profane humor in his latest movie, "Jersey Girl," which stars Affleck as a father trying to raise his young daughter alone. In Smith's words, "when you've got, like, a seven-year-old character in the movie, you can't have everyone running around going, 'C*ck-chucker.'"
