Fun Facts About Females

Boston, MA (WFN) -- Did you know that the average D-cup-sized breast weighs eight pounds? Or that women are more likely to suffer insomnia than men?

Those are the answers to two of the 1000 questions that appear in a new trivia book that's all about the ladies, "The Ladies' Room Reader Quiz Book" (Conari Press).

Other feminine factoids include...

- Cool blonde Alfred Hitchcock heroine Kim Novak spent her early career as Miss Deepfreeze, a spokesmodel for refrigerators made by Thor Appliances.

- There actually was a woman named Ima Hogg, a Texas philanthropist whose parents named her after the heroine in a poem written by one of her ancestors.

- Finally, although birth control pills, tampons and pantyhose are exclusively used by women, they were all created by men.
