Grad Student Has Spacey Spring Break Planned

Lawrenceville, GA (WFN) -- A graduate student in Lawrenceville, Georgia, is going to have the spaciest spring break ever.

This Tuesday (Mar. 9), Kara Sutton will be blasting off into space in a MiG-25 rocket and spending 40 minutes soaring above Earth's atmosphere.

Sutton won the spacey spring break in a drawing and has to fly to Moscow in order to get to the rocket, and she will be accompanied by an older cousin who, luckily, speaks Russian.

She admits she's trying to avoid thinking about the potential for accidents during but admits it's hard to do "...when ejector seat training is on the flight itinerary."

Still, the biggest challenge for Sutton may be putting on the astronaut outfit, which she admits may be designed more for function than fashion.
