Universal City, CA (WFN) -- Construction on a new roller coaster ride at Universal Studios theme park based on the Brendan Fraser movie "The Mummy" is expected to wrap up by summertime.

The park is holding a party today (Mar. 4) to count down the days until Revenge of the Mummy -- The Ride is finished in June.

The event will have belly dancers, snake charmers, fire eaters and the world's tallest hourglass -- which stands at 25-feet and will be on display to count down the days until the ride opens.

The ride will be one of the fastest indoor rides in the world.

Director Stephen Sommers was scheduled to attend the event to promote the ride based on his movie, but his duties on his upcoming film, "Van Helsing," will prevent him from attending.
