Life Of Crime Becoming Viable Career Move For Youths

Mountain Lakes, NJ (WFN) -- A career in crime is looking mighty tempting for about 2 million kids, according to an author and director of a think tank.

Dick Samson, author of the new book "Mind Over Technology: Coming Out On Top As a Wired World Starts to Run on Automatic" (EraNova), says crime should be viewed as a career choice if we are to effectively combat crime and a declining society.

He says it's not irrational that youths are choosing a career in crime because factors like the "depressing prospective of a minimum-wage existence" and the poor example set by government and corporations are making crime look mighty profitable.

His remedy is to create jobs that "move America to a new mode of economic and social interaction based on mental skills beyond the grasp of automation."

Samson says computers can now do math and science better than humans but computers can't promote creative discussion and social skills.
