Escondido, CA (WFN) -- The business world isn't a jungle as much as it is a zoo according to one ex-member of the corporate world. Adela Josue Polin, author of the book "The Corporate Circus" (1stBooks), says it might be called the "rat race" but there are plenty of other corporate critters workers encounter besides rats and snakes. For instance, there's the kangaroo: a purchasing executive with a powerful "kick" and a deep money pouch; and then there's the owl, who usually works in the accounting department and is often a "night owl." Meanwhile, the octopus is the human resources manager whose tentacles reach into all areas while the cat is the secretary who has "unspoken power" with her boss. Finally, the laughing hyena is the corporate animal who deals with customer complaints. Polin discusses the law of the job jungle in her new book and is also releasing a line of plush animals featuring the characters.
