	2004-03-02 - Weird News Wireless Flash News Rapper Xzibit Helping Drivers Pimp Their Rides

Los Angeles, CA (WFN) -- California-based rapper Xzibit is taking a few lucky folks for the ride of their lives. Xzibit is the host of MTV's new show, "Pimp My Ride," which takes beat-up jalopies and customizes them to the owners' lifestyles. All the customizing is done at West Coast Customs in L.A. which has pimped-out cars for 50cent, Ludacris and Xzibit's Mercedes, H2 Hummer and Cadillac Escalade. Xzibit thinks it's cool for the kids who would otherwise only get to daydream about having their car fixed up. He himself remembers the days when he was driving an old Subaru. Still, Xzibit acknowledges the cars are likely to end up on eBay or get stolen after they've been pimped-out. Once the show premieres this Thursday (Mar. 4) he expects to be mobbed by people wanting him to pick their car to be pimped, but he says they have to enter at MTV's website, or he'll hand them a business card to West Coast Customs.
