50 Percent Of Americans Would Wear Glasses Even If They Didn't Need Them

Dallas, TX (WFN) -- A lot of Americans don't mind making a spectacle out of themselves as far as glasses are concerned.

According to a new eyeglass survey by Crizal Alize lenses, 50 percent of all Americans say they would wear glasses for fashion reason even if they didn't need for vision.

Obviously, vanity plays a part: 40 percent of Americans assume a person who wears glasses is smart and 39 percent believe eyeglass-wearers are sophisticated.

Finally, men do make passes at girls who wear glasses -- as long as they're Britney Spears. She beats out Richard Gere as the sexiest person with eyeglasses.
