	2004-02-25 - Weird News Wireless Flash News Worst Band Name Of All Time: The Beatles

New York, NY (WFN) -- The Beatles have topped many different charts but there's a new one that's not so positive: "Stupidest Band Name of All Time." The Fab Four has just been awarded that dubious honor by "Guitar One" magazine, narrowly beating out Limp Bizkit. "Guitar One" contributor Bob Gulla thinks the Beatles' name is little "more than a cheap pun" and says that at least Limp Bizkit singer Fred Durst knows his band's name is ridiculous. Other big name bands making the stupid name list include Yes, Toto and the Presidents Of The United States Of America. In addition, there are also some general rules about band names. Gulla says "thumbs down" to band monikers inspired by male and female body parts -- like Iron Sausage, Bush and Hot Tuna -- and warns musicians to never name a band after a location, such as Boston, Asia or Chicago.
