Baltimore, MD (WFN) -- Doctors have found a way to sniff out diarrhea by using its odor. Doctors at the University of Bristol say the bacteria that causes loose stools has a particular scent that artificial noses can detect within an hour. By comparison, current detection methods stink, often taking days to diagnose diarrhea. GABARONE, Botswana -- If you're going to commit suicide in Botswana, use a tree, not a train. That's the message Botswana officials want to get out, to avoid a growing trend of citizens killing themselves by jumping in front of trains. Authorities tell the "South Africa Star" that the trains run slower these days because the drivers are forced to remove human body parts from the engines. MARS HILL, N.C. -- When the professor of a sociology course at a Baptist university in North Carolina told students he'd give an "A" to anyone who took off their clothes in class, he didn't think anyone would take him seriously. He was wrong, and now the veteran instructor is resigning over the goof. Mars Hill College hasn't released the name of the professor or the student who got naked in class, reports the "Asheville Citizen Times." The nudity challenge was meant to be a theoretical exercise to show cultural differences. NEWMARKET, England -- An English woman has been fined nearly $400 U.S. for trying to register her cows to vote in the next election. Ananova.com reports this is the second year in a row that Brenda Gould had tried to register her cows, "Henry and Sophie Bull" as voters. JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- This will float your boat: Former POW Jessica Lynch will have the honor of participating in the naming ceremony of a new ship in the Carnival cruise line fleet. She will christen the boat named Miracle with a bottle of champagne in Jacksonville, Florida, Feb. 27.
