Beverly Hills, CA (WFN) -- The homeless and needy don't have to be down and out in Beverly Hills on Oscar night. Why? Because they'll be able to dine on the same gourmet food sampled by Hollywood's finest at the post-ceremony Governors Ball. Every year, the Angel Harvest charity collects leftover dinners from the Ball in refrigerated trucks and distributes them to shelters and soup kitchens which provide food to the homeless and hungry in Los Angeles. This year, they'll be dining in high style, since celebrity chef Wolfgang Puck is in charge of the menu for the hoity-toity after-party. The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences says Puck's plates will be doled out to several organizations based on what kinds of food they can handle. That means that salads may go to one shelter, while appetizers and entrees go to another.
