New York, NY (WFN) -- 2003 was a boom year for Botox and boob implants: The number of cosmetic procedures performed in the U.S. soared 20 percent, according to the latest figures from the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery. While liposuction, breast implants and eyelid tucks rank as the top cosmetic surgeries, non-surgical procedures like Botox and collagen injections were the overall most popular requests in plastic surgeons' offices last year. All in all, Americans spent more than $9.3 trillion on nips and tucks, with women leading the pack with 87 percent of the procedures. Some other figures... -- It costs an average of $3360 to increase the size of your breasts but $5351 to reduce them. -- Americans age 35-50 had the most work done last year, while those under 18 had the least. -- Finally, Americans spent $871 million last year on Botox alone, with the average treatment costing $384.
