San Francisco, CA -- The hordes of same-sex couples walking down the aisle in San Francisco's gay marriage explosion are getting some expert advice for planning their honeymoons.

Ed Salvato, editor of the gay travel newsletter, "Out & About," says San Francisco is one of the most romantic cities for gays of both sexes.

He says newlyweds can have a ball strolling through the Castro -- the city's well-known gay neighborhood -- or walking hand-in-hand through the arboretums of Golden Gate Park.

As for accommodations, it's best to pick a gay-friendly hotel and make your sleeping arrangements clear when you make your reservation.

But if San Francisco isn't your style, Salvato says there are other great honeymoon hot spots for same sex newlyweds to choose from. He recommends gay-friendly Paris; the lesbian mecca of Santa Fe, New Mexico; and Cape Town, South Africa, which is both gay-friendly and chock full of great wine and exotic scenery.
