Melbourne, Australia (WFN) -- If John Kerry is elected president, his wife, Teresa Heinz Kerry, will be an inspiration to romance novel writers everywhere. She has at least one writer's vote: Australian novelist Stephanie Laurens, who says the millionaire heiress' life -- including her marriages to two U.S. senators -- is perfect material for romantic fiction. History may be behind Laurens. Her latest book, "The Ideal Bride" (William Morrow), deals with the widow of a diplomat who returns to public service to help further the career of her new beau. It sounds incredibly similar to Heinz Kerry's current situation but Laurens' novel is set in England during the 1820s. Despite the parallels with the Kerrys, Laurens says she was unaware of them when she started writing the book two years ago. Still, she thinks the potential first lady might benefit from reading her book if only to see "how long this has been going on." "The Ideal Wife" hits stores March 2, the same day that Kerry faces presidential primaries in New York and California.
