San Francisco, CA (WFN) -- Two special effects experts who specialize in scientifically testing some of America's biggest myths and rumors are tackling a real whopper: Finding out whether Jimmy Hoffa is really buried in New York's Giants Stadium. Jamie Hyneman and Adam Savage, who host the Discovery Channel show "Mythbusters," convinced bigwigs at the stadium to let them poke around and see if Hoffa's body is decomposing somewhere under the grass. Using ground-penetrating radar, the two examined five of the most-commonly cited burial spots: The two end zones, the 10-yard line, the 50-yard line and seat section 107. Their results? They came up with zip, zilch and zero evidence of a dead body. Even with such overwhelming proof, Savage and Hyneman don't believe they've ended the long-standing myth. According to Hyneman, many locals don't want the rumor debunked, because it's a treasured part of their local lore. The Jimmy Hoffa episode of "Mythbusters" airs this Sunday (Feb 15).
