Montreal, Quebec (WFN) -- An Elvis Presley impersonator in Montreal is taking the phrase "worshipping the King" to a whole new level.

Dan Hartal -- who is better known as "Schmelvis" -- is currently attempting to enter discussions with Presley's daughter, Lisa Marie; his widow, Priscilla; and the Presley estate to discuss creating a spiritual center dedicated to Elvis.

Schmelvis says anyone who's heard the King sing gospel knows he was a spiritual man who read lots of religious literature.

He figures the center would give the fans who worship Elvis a chance to see how Elvis worshipped.

Schmelvis is scouting locations for the proposed Elvis center and, so far, Las Vegas, Montreal and Jerusalem are the top choices. In the meantime, he's trying to raise support for it with a new CD, "From Memphis To The Holyland."
