|
New York, NY (WFN) -- A fitness trainer in New York is bringing new meaning to the term "toilet training" -- he teaches his clients how to turn their bathroom fixtures into gym equipment. Marc Hupert says many New Yorkers can't afford the high prices of gym memberships, so he shows them how to use the fixtures and furniture in their home for workouts instead. The smallest room in the house can be used to exercise all of your muscle groups. To start, try stepping up and down off the toilet seat to give your quadriceps a nice stretch. To develop strong abdominals, sit on the throne, grasp the tank behind you and lift both knees to your chest repeatedly. For upper body strength, do push-ups with your hands on the seat and your feet perched on the tub. But if the loo isn't your ideal gym, other household items that can double as workout machines include chairs, tables and beds.
