Bethlehem, PA (WFN) -- A candymaker is turning your Peeps into homies with a machine which allows folks to make the cult candy marshmallow Peeps in their own homes.

Just Born, Inc., which churns out 1.2 billion Peeps a year, has licensed its chicks and bunnies to Wham-O in a new do-it-yourself Marshmallow Peeps Marshmallow Maker.

The $14.99 kit comes with a mix to make the marshmallow goo, which squeezes into a mold and makes two dimensional candies.

Although the do-it-yourself candy maker is putting production of Peeps in the hands of the people, Just Born marketing exec. Matthew Pye doesn't expect it will affect Peep sales this Easter.

He says "by no means at all is this a replacement." Pye says the candies have a fanatical fan base with people who will eat them stale, freeze them, roast them and even some who use them as pizza toppings.
