Will Presidential 'N-Factor' Prevail In Primary?

Washington, D.C. (WFN) -- If Howard Dean wins today's New Hampshire primary (Jan. 27), give at least some of the credit to the "Presidential N-Factor"

The "Presidential N-Factor" is a political quirk discovered by Rutgers political scientist Ross Baker. It seems voters prefer presidents whose last names end in the letter "N," like George Washington and Abraham Lincoln.

In all, 16 presidents have benefitted from the mysterious "N-Factor" including Bill Clinton, Ronald Reagan, Richard Nixon and Harry Truman.

So far, the polls suggest John Kerry is in the lead but if the "N-Factor" holds to form, then either Dean, Al Sharpton or Joe Lieberman may be able to score an "N-run" and win the hearts and minds of voters.
