Underwater Weddings Make Big Splash For Mexican Resort

Cozumel, Mexico (WFN) -- One Mexican resort hopes to make a big splash with engaged couples by offering them the chance to dive into marriage underwater.

The Grand Cozumel resort in Cozumel, Mexico, has just taken the plunge into the underwater wedding business by offering a package that includes a ceremony under the sea with a certified civil servant who is also a certified diver.

Wet wedding creator John Israel says the first couple to experience the neptune nuptials did it 20 feet below the surface and used cue cards for their vows.

But while Israel figures the underwater weddings will be very popular, it's not for everyone. All wedding guests must be certified divers in order to go below sea level.
