Chicago, IL (WFN) -- When it comes to first dates, eight is enough.

At least that's what one woman discovered while running a dating service, Eight At Eight, that sets up four single men and four single women on dinner dates.

Sarah Kathryn Smith says group dates are the best way to meet potential partners since there are always two people who pair off because they think they're cooler than the other guests.

Using the technique, she's helped create 40 marriages and countless friendships among singles in five different cities over the past five years.

But while Smith thinks group dates are perfect for lonely singles, she's learned not everyone is perfect at the dinners.

In her words, "Some women are very paranoid about others sabotaging their game; men jockey for position as the alpha male and some people aren't bashful about getting physical in public."
