Chicago, IL (WFN) -- One artist is so sweet on jellybeans she created a portrait of Martin Luther King Jr. entirely out of them. Tracy Ostmann is the artist behind a jellybean portrait that will be unveiled in Philadelphia on Monday (Jan. 19) by WXPN-FM's Kids Corner as part of their outreach campaign Jelly Bean Nation. This isn't Ostmann's first candy concoction. She was commissioned by the Shedd Aquarium in Chicago to make jellybean paintings of a great white shark, a trigger fish and a clown fish. One of the perks of making jellybean art is eating the medium, but this time around Ostmann says she didn't eat as many as with the aquarium piece because she got "sick of them." In King's portrait there are about 15 different colors, with rootbeer flavor making up the bulk of King's skin tone, along with black licorice and cream soda for highlights. The sweet deal has Ostmann ready for more. She says she'd consider doing more paintings with the sweet beans.
