Football Is A Sin

Dallas, TX (WFN) -- Fans of the Green Bay Packers and Indianapolis Colts may be praising the heavens for their teams' playoff victories -- but they're committing an ungodly sin in the eyes of God.

That somber news comes courtesy of theology expert Kevin Orlin Johnson, who says sports like football, wrestling or even chess are not compatible with Christian beliefs such as "Turn the other cheek."

Johnson says ancient Christian documents dictate that "vanquishing your opponent with no purpose stirs up the sin of anger the same way pornography promotes lust."

He confesses he was as "surprised as anyone" to discover just how adamantly the early Christians preached against sports and is trying to get the word out without raising contention.

Still, it may take a while. Johnson says the games he considers "organized brawling" has been in vogue for the last 600 years.
