Fighting Flab Is Top New Year's Resolution

Scottsdale, AZ -- It's no big surprise, but the No. 1 New Year's resolution this year is to lose weight and get healthy.

According to a survey by mygoals.com, 22 percent of folks are planning to make a New Year's resolution revolving around health and fitness.

-- 18 percent want to change something about their career in 2004, which is down from the 27 percent who made job goals last year.

-- 15 percent want to start a new hobby or pursue another personal interest, while 11 percent have a New Year's resolution that involves their finances.

-- Finally, 5 percent are resolving to buy more real estate or fix up their homes next year, while 3 percent want to have more leisure time.
