San Francisco, CA -- While many reporters covet the Pulitzer Prize, its certain none of them would be happy to receive a "P.U.-litzer Prize."

Every year, syndicated columnist Norman Solomon hands out the "P.U.s" to journalists and media organizations he thinks are guilty of giving "the stinkiest media performances of the year."

This year's winners include "Today" co-host Katie Couric, who receives the "Military Groupie Prize" for ending an interview about the war in Iraq by saying, "I think Navy SEALs rock."

CNN gets the "Clear It With The Pentagon" P.U.-litzer for admitting that U.S. military officials were allowed to screen its on-air war analysts.

And, finally, Tom Brokaw gets a P.U.-litzer for going on air the first day of the war in Iraq and saying, "in a few days, we're going to own that country."
