Astronaut Of The Month Club Blasts Off

Kennedy Space Center, FL -- Astronauts like John Glenn and James Lovell are on their way to becoming pinup hunks.

A scholarship foundation for college students pursuing degrees in science and engineering has started an autograph-of-the-month club for its members who love astronauts.

For $500, every month for one year the Astronaut Scholarship Foundation will send members a different autographed photo and a personalized letter from an American astronaut.

Participating space boys include moonwalkers Edgar Mitchell and Charles Duke, first space shuttle pilot Robert Crippen and legendary moon man John Glenn.

The club started just last week and already has 200 members.

Although space is infinite, space in the club is limited to only 350 members because organizers didn't want to have to ask the spacemen to sign thousands of autographs.
