Americans Never Want To Hear 'Grandma Got Run Over By A Reindeer' Again

Minneapolis, MN -- This Christmas, there's one carol that's sure to clear the room: "Grandma Got Run Over By A Reindeer."

According to a new poll by Reader's Digest Music, the novelty hit is the one holiday song that most Americans say they've heard way too often.

So which carols fill revelers with holiday cheer?

Folks who took the poll say "Silent Night" is not only the tune that most brings back warm holiday memories, it's also the No. 1 song they want to hear during Christmas dinner.

"O Holy Night" is generally thought to be the most religious Christmas carol.

Finally, "Jingle Bells" is the song most people like to sing out loud at Christmas, followed by "Silent Night," "White Christmas" and "Joy to the World."
