Yes Guitarist Also Leads Prog Rock Partridge Family

London, England -- Yes guitarist Steve Howe is known for playing progressive rock but he's just as progressive a parent.

Howe raised his two sons, Virgil, and Dylan, with plenty of music in the house -- especially different kinds of instruments.

Whenever he had the chance, Howe helped his kids learn to "make a good noise" and often played bass with the boys in his off hours because, thanks to Yes, he "always had another band."

At first, the sound was "naive" but Howe says his two boys learned the basics of musical interplay and, more importantly, other instruments besides guitar so the family "can play together without comparison."

The kids learned their lessons well.

Virgil plays keyboards, Dylan plays drums and they both play in Papa Steve's new band, "Remedy," which just released its debut recording, "Elements."
