New York, NY -- It had to come along sooner or later: A guidebook showing men how to be that hippest of all hipster classifications, "metrosexual."

For those not in the know, a metrosexual is a straight guy who loves high fashion and beauty products and isn't ashamed to admit it.

The term was coined for British soccer player David Beckham, who single-handedly made cornrows and sarongs a stylish look for straight men.

Now, author Michael Flocker is helping other men get on the metrosexual bandwagon with "The Metrosexual Guide To Style: A Handbook For the Modern Man" (Da Capo).

He says metrosexuality isn't always something you're born to, but even the biggest schlubs can learn how to be metrosexual by acquiring basic rules about fashion, culture and etiquette.

Some of Flocker's fashion tips: men should avoid wearing plaid flannel, pleated pants or mullets, but invest big bucks in nice accessories like watches, designer sunglasses and money clips.
