Flash Lites September 29th, 2003 - Rip 'N' Read Recap

New York, NY -- Johnny Cash walked the line right to the end, according to Bono. The U2 lead singer tells "Rolling Stone" that he once ate dinner with Cash, who insisted on beginning the meal with a moment of grace. Then he looked at the band and said, "Sure miss the drugs though."

UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif. -- Will Ferrell is getting lots of green to play the Man in the Yellow Hat. Farrell is providing the voice of the beloved children's book character in an animated version of "Curious George," scheduled for release in November, 2005.

NEW YORK -- Wasn't Mariah Carey's semi-autobiographical movie, "Glitter," enough? The singer is now in talks to write a book based on her childhood struggles to overcome adversity, according to MTV News. Miss Carey says it won't be a typical autobiography because she feels it's too early in her career to write a memoir.

LAS VEGAS -- Most bands premiere songs on the radio or in concert, but Korn is taking a different route: The wrestling ring. Over the weekend, the hard rockers debuted "Let's Do This Now," the first single from their new album, "Take A Look At The Mirror," at a pay-per-view Ultimate Fighting Championship in Las Vegas.
