Ernie Hudson: Haunted By 'Ghostbusters' Past

Los Angeles, CA -- Acting is a scary job -- especially when you're haunted by your past work.

That's the case with Ernie Hudson, who starred opposite Bill Murray and Dan Aykroyd in the 1980s-era "Ghostbusters" comedies.

Hudson says he's never had any particular belief in ghosts or the paranormal and was just doing a role when he was hired to bust spooks in the movie.

Yet, he says not a day has gone by since making those movies that he isn't haunted by a fan who wants to tell him about some strange paranormal experience they've had.

"It's as if they assume I will be able to somehow explain it," he says.

There are some signs that Hudson is busting out of yhis "Ghostbusters" past. He's getting good buzz for his work as a veteran police officer in the new ABC series, "10-8," which debuts Sept. 28.
