'Ah-Nuld' Not Only Austrian Running For California Governor

Fullerton, CA -- Arnold Schwarzenegger may be the most famous Austrian-American campaigning to be California's governor -- but he isn't the only one.

Fellow Austrian immigrant Christian Meister, a 35-year-old journalism student in Fullerton, California, is running as a Democrat in the recall election in order to give voters an option as to which Austrian-American should run the state.

There are some similarities -- they both pronounce their adopted state's name as "Cally-fonya" -- but Meister says he represents "the people who earn less than $40,000 annually" while Schwarzenegger is "too connected to rich people and the Kennedys."

Schwarzenegger may be more famous, but Meister thinks he can offer things that "Ah-nuld" can't -- such as a detailed plan for dealing with California's financial problems.

Meister will announce his plans at a press conference this morning (Aug. 28) and will officially challenge "Ah-nuld" to a series of debates.
