'Fifth Beatle's' Sister Sad Estate Sale Has Dredged Up Old Tales

New York, NY -- An upcoming auction of items which belonged to original Beatles bassist Stuart Sutcliffe is dredging up some unpleasant tales about his untimely death at the age of 21.

Sutcliffe's sister Pauline, who oversees his estate, is putting several items up for sale July 29th at Bonham's in London, and hopes the photos, art and letters prove once and for all Stuart was a central force behind the Beatles.

Unfortunately, she fears some reporters are using the auction as an excuse to write sensational stories about her belief that brother's Stu's fatal brain hemorrhage was caused by a kick in the head from John Lennon.

The end result, Pauline says, is "Stuart gets overshadowed, again."

Although she plans to elaborate on her brother's death in an upcoming book, currently, Pauline just wants people to see Stuart as more than just the Beatles' bassist "who didn't play very well."
