Santa Barbara, CA -- A coffee-roasting couple in Santa Barbara, California, hopes to arouse interest in a new product: "aphrodisiac-flavored coffee."

Leslie and Jimmy Caplan claim their "Passion Cafe" blend of coffee is the first to combine the buzz-inducing beverage with herbs long-considered to be aphrodisiacs, such as chocolate, chile, lavender and licorice.

The resulting brew is supposed to work like a liquid Viagra -- especially because coffee reportedly has aphrodisiac qualities of its own.

However, Jimmy Caplan admits he and his wife can't actually claim their coffee is an aphrodisiac without creating a brouhaha with the Food and Drug Administration so they're claiming it's merely flavored with aphrodisiacs.

Currently, the aphrodisiac coffee is mainly available in the Santa Barbara area but the Caplans hope to erect shops all over the U.S. to sell the come-hither coffee.
