Philadelphia, PA -- Tito Jackson is singing the blues these days -- and he couldn't be happier.

The guitar-playing member of the Jackson family has spent the last few years chilling out with his kids, but he's planning a musical comeback as a blues singer.

Next month, Tito will be debuting his new act in Philadelphia, which includes a few Chicago-style blues songs and some Jackson 5 numbers.

It's the culmination of a lifelong dream for Tito, who says he's always wanted to have a blues band. Sadly, the only time he ever got to play blues was when "one of my brothers split his pants and had to leave the stage -- which wasn't very often."

Tito will release a CD later this year and hopes the band inspires Michael Jackson's kids to keep the blues alive in the next century.
